About New Morgan Borough

New Morgan Borough was incorporated in 1988 covering approximately 5.7 square miles located in the lower portion of Berks County, Pennsylvania. School District is Twin Valley. The total assessed valuation is 37,492,100 with a municipal millage of 1.68 and a school millage of 14.50.

Real Estate Transfer tax 1.0%.

Occupation tax $52.

Municipal Earned Income Tax 1/2%.

School Earned Income Tax 1/2%.

Their are 8.17 miles of municipal roads.

Amusement Tax 5%.

On file at the Borough are ordinances pertaining to Zoning, Sub-division and building codes. A comprehensive plan is also on file.

The Planning Commission meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 5:30 P.M. The Borough Council meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, immediately following the Planning Commission.
